Mpumelelo is responsible for leading, managing, and growing the practice across the region, serving clients such as Unilever, Spotify, Liberty, and Shell.
Drawing upon his extensive experience in advertising and creative work, he has also played a key role in establishing Edelman Creative Studio.
Mpumelelo began his career at The Jupiter Drawing Room, where he worked on the Nike account. He later managed clients such as Castle Lite, Castle, Edgars, Old Mutual, and Hollard insurance; and has worked at prominent advertising agencies, including Ogilvy, Draft FCB, M&C Saatchi Abel, and Joe Public – all contributing to his over 20 years in the advertising and marketing industry.
Mpumelelo brings a wealth of advertising, strategic, and creative experience to the dynamic realm of public relations at Edelman. He has also ventured into entrepreneurship by partnering in a small digital and design start-up and co-founding Dona Communications, which subsequently became part of the Bester Berg Slingers group in Cape Town.
